About our services
Saying goodbye to a beloved pet is one of the hardest moments a family can face. Our role is to help make that goodbye as calm, gentle, and respectful as possible, in a place where your pet feels safe and loved.

At Pawfect Passings, we provide at home euthanasia for pets, allowing families the time and space to say goodbye without the stress of travel or unfamiliar surroundings.
A familiar place, at your pace
For many pets, home is where they feel most at ease. Familiar scents, familiar sounds, and familiar people can make a meaningful difference in their final moments. Being at home allows goodbyes to happen quietly and privately, without rushing, and without the pressures that can come with more clinical settings.

Whether your pet is resting in their bed, by the fire, or in a favourite spot in the garden, our aim is to support a peaceful farewell in surroundings they know.
Gentle, unhurried care
Every visit is approached with patience and compassion. There is no set timetable, and no expectation for how things should feel or unfold. We take time to explain what will happen, answer questions, and allow families to move at their own pace.

Our focus is always on your pet’s comfort and on supporting you through the process with kindness and respect.
What to expect
When the time comes, we use a calm, gradual approach designed to keep your pet comfortable throughout. The process begins with gentle sedation to help them relax and feel sleepy. Once they are settled, a second injection allows them to fall into a deep, peaceful sleep. Only when your pet is fully asleep is the final medication given, allowing them to pass quietly and without pain.
You are welcome to be present for as much or as little of this as feels right for you.
Before and after
We understand that this experience does not begin or end with the appointment itself. Questions, doubts, and emotions often come in waves. We are always happy to talk things through beforehand, and to offer guidance and reassurance where we can.

Afterwards, we can help with arrangements such as cremation, if this is something you would like support with.
Here when you need us
There is no perfect way to say goodbye, and no right timeline for knowing when the time is right. If you are here because you are unsure, overwhelmed, or simply seeking information, that is enough. We are here to listen, to support, and to help you find what feels kindest for you and your pet.

My name is Dr. Jennifer Hunter, and caring for animals has been at the heart of my life for almost three decades. I am a qualified veterinary surgeon with 13 years of experience as a vet, alongside 29 years working within the veterinary field in a variety of roles. I also currently have one horse, two miniature Shetland ponies, and about 60 sheep, who are all pets to us. I have previously had multiple dogs and cats, as well as pet rats and chickens too.

Throughout my career, I have witnessed the deep bonds between pets and their families. I have also seen how overwhelming and distressing the end of life decision can be, particularly when goodbyes take place in unfamiliar and clinical environments. These experiences shaped my desire to offer something gentler, calmer, and more personal, which is why I created Pawfect Passings.

By providing in home euthanasia, I help pets pass peacefully in the place where they feel safest, at home, surrounded by familiar comforts and the people who love them most. Every visit is guided by patience, compassion, and respect. I take the time to explain each step clearly, answer questions, and move at a pace that feels right for you and your pet.

Being invited into a family’s home at such a vulnerable time is a responsibility I hold with great care. It is an honour to help ease suffering, support families through their goodbye, and help create a calm and loving final memory.

Pawfect Passings exists to ensure every pet receives a dignified and peaceful farewell, and that every family feels supported, understood, and cared for during one of life’s hardest moments.
